Hypnotherapy for panic attacks
Ok, full disclosure here. I used to suffer terribly with panic attacks, so this is something that lies particularly close to my heart.
Like anxiety, panic attacks are different for everyone, but broadly can be described as a really intense period of anxiety that effects your body’s physiological responses to a degree that can be quite frightening.
Why do I have panic attacks?
Your brain is panicking for a reason. It has clocked something that it wants to get you away from. You can think of the panic as like a little child tugging at your sleeve shouting ‘come on, quick, we’ve got to go, this is not a good situation!’. It’s worth pointing out that your brain is on your side. It thinks it’s doing the right thing for you. It’s trying to keep you safe. But for some reason - which will be different for everyone - it is continually making a mistake about the risks you face.
